Hello CBT neighbors.
It saddens me to inform you that the port-a-potty was tipped over again sometime last night after having it secured to the ground. (see picture) At this point we will be getting rid of this service. Should we decide to have one for a special neighborhood event we will make that decision at that time.
What is equally disturbing is that an intersection "Stop" sign was thrown onto the Pavillion roof. This is concerning and life threatening. A missing "Stop" sign could cause a serious accident in our neighborhood. Fortunately, I drove around the neighborhood and discovered that the sign was from the corner of Connecticut and Maine. You can tell that this was a planned effort being that the culprits left their pliers behind. You can see the bolt and nut next to the floor port. ( see pics)
The McHenry County Sherrif's office was contacted to document these two events. They also took possession of the pliers, bolt and nut, and a water bottle left behind.
Nunda township was contacted about the stop sign. They have place a temporary sign at that corner for now.
Again, I ask that you take the time to speak with your family members and neighbors about these two events. There is a difference between a simple joke / prank and something that is impacting the welfare of our neighborhood.
Thank you for those neighbors who raised the awaress to us regarding the above issues.
